KEY ROAD CLOSURES ON RACE DAY
Madaket Road
Closed to all traffic from the Cliff Road/Madaket Road intersection to the Madaket/Millie's Restaurant area.
Closure from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM on Saturday, July 17
Cliff Road
Closed to all traffic from the bottom of Cliff Road (both sides) to Madaket Road.
Closure from: 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM on Saturday, July 17
Important Note for Residents and Visitors:
If you're taking an early morning ferry, no need to worry! Both Madaket and Cliff roads are open until 6:30 AM.
“IN TOWN” TRAFFIC FLOW DURING THE RACE
As you will see on the right, there are a handful of intersections that will be closed to minimize vehicle traffic on the race course from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM on Saturday, July 17. Traffic will be diverted. Thank you for your patience!
Namely:
Easton Street and Chester Street will be closed to all traffic
North Beach Street from Easton to Bathing Beach Road will be closed to all traffic
South Beach Street from Sea Street to Easton Street will be closed to all traffic
North Water Street will be closed from the Sea Street intersection to Easton/Cliff will be closed to all traffic
No LEFT turn will be allowed from Centre Street to Chester or West Chester Street
Westchester Street will be closed from the intersection of Westchester and North Liberty to the intersection of Cliff Road
North Liberty Street will be closed from Westchester Street to Cliff Road . Traffic will be diverted to (west) Westchester.
EVENT PARKING DETAILS
Parking Restrictions at Jetties Beach:
No parking in the upper lot from 8:00 AM on Friday, July 16 to 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 17 to accommodate race setup and takedown.
Bathing Beach Road leading to Jetties will be closed to all traffic on Saturday, July 17 from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Race Day Parking:
No parking is permitted on any roads leading to Jetties Beach on race day.
Improperly parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Getting to Jetties Beach:
Spectators and beachgoers are encouraged to walk or use The WAVE shuttle service.
NO PARKING AREAS ON RACE MORNING
No parking signs from 5 AM - 9 AM on Saturday, July 17 will be clearly posted by the Nantucket Police Department. Please adhere to them to avoid having your vehicle towed at the owner’s expense.
